Hits List: Heart

This great Pacific Northwest band has gone over 74 million in sales and have always been tremendous live.  I was fortunate enough to catch them when they were just starting out.  That's the best time for they have the hunger, the drive, and the energy.  I saw them in 1976 at the Iowa State Fair when they opened for Bachman-Turner Overdrive.  As was usually the case when an opening act performed, most people were just talking, waiting for BTO.  I of course, loving music and already aware of the group, was listening intently.  As the group got into the second song or so, someone in the crowd said, and I remember it distinctly, "Hey pipe down everyone--these guys are good!"  Boy, were they! 

But this group was far more than that.  Ann & Nancy Wilson paved the way for women in rock.  Groups like the Go-Go's and Bangles and countless solo artists like Pat Benatar and others had the going much, much easier because of this group.  Here is a complete list of the Hits of Heart:
