"Woman from Tokyo" from Deep Purple--the new featured Unknown/Underrated Song

Music sells a lot by word of mouth.  One of the goals of this site is to expose new people to great music that did not make the Top 10.  Through the Unknown/Underrated Tab at the top of the page, which will grow in number weekly, many of these songs can be listened to and hopefully, time will do them justice!

This album was recorded in Frankfurt, Germany and Rome, Italy in 1973.  Still cannot believe that it didn't get higher than #80.  Deep Purple's great rocker "Woman from Tokyo"!

Fly into the rising sun,
Faces, smiling everyone
Yeah, she is a whole new tradition
I feel it in my heart

My woman from Tokyo
She makes me see
My woman from Tokyo
Shes so good to me

Talk about a Leica queen
Dancing in a eastern dream
Yeah, she makes me feel like a river
That carries me away

My woman from Tokyo
She makes me see
My woman from Tokyo
Shes so good to me

But I'm at home and I just don't belong ...

So far away from the garden we love
She is what moves in the soul of a dove Oo...
Soon I shall see just how black was my night
When we're alone in her city of light

Rising from the neon gloom
Shining like a crazy moon
Yeah, she turns me on like a fire
I get high

My woman from Tokyo
She makes me see
My woman from Tokyo
Shes so good to me 2X

My woman from Tokyo 5X then fade
