We are about a week and a half away from The Top 100 Adult Contemporary Artists of the 1980's*. This was a decade in which the format not only came into its own, but overtook the so-called "top 40" format as the most popular in the nation. Of course by definition, if the AC format is #1, those songs are the most popular and not those geared to the teeny-boppers. The date the AC format took over at #1 is debateable, but certainly by the end of the 80's.
We will present 10 artists each day, and not just a raw listing, but done in the style that only Inside the Rock Era can do, that actually makes it interesting to follow.
