This week, several websites report that the Clash released their debut album in the U.K. on March 4, 1977. This is incorrect, according to the official website for the Clash as well as the book The Album: A Guide to Pop Music's Most Provocative, Influential, and Important Creations, edited by James E. Perone. According to both sources, the correct date is April 8.
