Prelude to The Top 500 Songs of the Rock Era*: Looking Glass with "Brandy"

Hope you are enjoying our presentation of some of the best songs just outside The Top 500*.  Although they didn't quite make the elite list, they prove that there are a lot of great songs besides the all-time top 500.

This great song from 1972 tells the story of Brandy, a barmaid in a port town.  She falls in love with a sailor, who gives her a locket that bears his name.  But in the end, Brandy is left with a "man who's not around".
